Dr. Susan Knight
Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Susan Knight is a qualified Chinese Medicine Practitioner with a dual Bachelor of Health Science and Chinese Medicine from RMIT. She is trained in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, herbal prescribing and dispensing.
Before studying Chinese medicine, Susan worked for many years as a primary school teacher. This background gives her a calm, clear and patient approach to care. She takes time to listen, explain treatment plans clearly, and support people in understanding their health from a Chinese medicine perspective.
Susan has a particular interest in women’s health, menstrual health, hormonal presentations, fertility support, IVF support and pregnancy care. She also enjoys working with a wide range of health concerns, including stress-related presentations, immune health, structural imbalances, muscular tension and general wellbeing.
Since graduating, Susan has continued to develop her clinical skills and she has worked with patients seeking support for hormonal balance, fertility, immune concerns and musculoskeletal issues.
During her clinical training at RMIT, Susan completed placements in Melbourne clinics, including experience alongside practitioners with a focus on women’s health and fertility. She gained experience in acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping and electroacupuncture.
Susan is committed to ongoing professional development. She has completed further training in Kiiko Matsumoto-style Japanese acupuncture, NeoClassical Acupuncture with Mark McAuliffe, and Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry course. This has shaped her interest in the connection between emotional wellbeing, physical health and long-term care.
